I can't wait. Our family vacation is almost here. We have been embarking on this trip every other year since I was maybe 9 or 10, I can't remember for sure. I just know some of my best memories/favorite memories come from vacations like this. Two years ago, we all stayed under one roof at a home in Michigan. It was so much FUN!! This year, 64 of us will live among the black bears (in a condo, of course:-) in the Great Smokey Mountians. The kids were a lot younger the last time we were there so it will be fun. Some of them didn't even exist then so it will be fun for them too. I like Tennessee. I remember going there with Tamara when we were in 10th grade, I believe. Her dad got us our own hotel room and everything. We so thought we were "it". We went to Ogle's Waterpark, the outlets, HillBilly golf, and lots lots more.
I went back the summer before I met John. Dawn and I decided to take a roadtrip in my blue convertible (I miss that car) and we were gone for about 10 days. We planned the whole thing! We even went on to North Carolina to visit an old boyfriend (hehe) Oh where has the time gone. Now, I am going back as the mother of six and with 56 other famiy members. Some I haven't seen in a long time!!
People think I am crazy when I say I am going on a week long family reunion but you know what, the whole family is kinda crazy, lol!! We have the best times together.
Oh yeah, memories. At the last camp, one of my uncles filled the entire microwave with ping pong balls. Wanna see something funny! ? When the first person opened it, they went everywhere! Family Camp is also known for water balloon fights, more practical jokes, learning about our heritage, and eating A LOT!!!
I haven't packed a thing but I along with the rest of my crew are SO ready to GO!!!
