Tales from the Hood....................Motherhood that is!

So, I think my title for this post should be the new tagline for this blog. Believe me, if I wrote everything that I have endured or that my household endures on a daily basis one would either laugh hysterically at me, laugh with me, give me pity, or say, "that girl, finally got what she deserves"! In a a nutshell, this week has been UNBELIEVABLE!!! Ok, so not really, since nothing seems to surprise me anymore, including the antics of my 2yr old. Here is a short list of what happened this week and I am sure I could embelish each subject with a story.

1. My pre-schooler hated pre-school- tears, shortness of breath and all

2. My kindergartner was stung by a bee @ parent-pick up the first day. And being the optimistic (insert sarcasm here) mother that I am, when I saw him crying and standing against the wall, I thought oh no, he got in trouble on the first day.

3. My poor pre-schooler spent one evening in the hospital ER due to a brotherly shove from his second oldest brother. He was in pain and scared and I was relaxed due to the fact I was lying with him in a clean bed, clean room, and even a tv!! (This is so sad on my part that I find solace in the ER)

4. My poor pre-schooler, you know, the one who hates the ER and preschool, went back to pre-school and hated it even more. He cried and cried and repeatedly asked if I was leaving him forever.

5. My third grader came home hating his teacher. He got his feelings hurt and was ready for me to beat his teacher up for him! (ok , not that extreme but extreme)

6. I go out with my friends and my 6th grader is the one calling looking for me when I am not home by 9pm

7. My two year old continues to think she is going to be on this season of Prison Break and has been performing every stunt possible to get out of her crib. I finally gave up and put the mattress on the floor. Out of the six children, she wins the award for best break-out of a crib, by far.

8. My kindergartner was punched in the stomach and sent home from school with only 20 min to spare. Of course, I had just went in a store and had to turn around and leave. And if you ask him his version of what happened it goes a little something like this......."I was going poop and I walked out and he went pow". That's about all I get out of him but he is sure to tell me about the "poop" part.

9. My kids think "New Kids on the Block" are dead (anyone remember them?) because they saw their video and since they are from my day when I was a kid there's no way they could still be alive!

Well, I think that 's my week in a nutshell. I know I have plenty of pix to post but I just haven't seemed to find the time. Hmmm..............I wonder why!?

Have a great weekend everyone!
