Fall Break 2009

We changed Fall Break up a bit this year. In the past, we've always gone to the waterpark but with sick kids and football schedules we were unable to do just that. So, we loaded up the kids and headed to Chicago. And I think we had just as much fun:-)

We started out at the Field Museum for half the day. We enjoyed it! Alijah probably loved it the most. He wanted to visit every exhibit and read everything he could get his eyes on about each exhibit. We saw a really cool Pirate Exhibit that all the kids found fascinating. We only stayed about half a day but we became member so we hope to make many trips back throughout the year.

After the Museum, we headed downtown to meet my cousin, Jason. The kids LOVE him and he and I though 12 years apart get along really well. I visited him on my girls's trip last year and we weren't sure if we would be able to make this trip work or not but it did:-)

We met him at Rainforest Cafe. The kids enjoyed eating in the "rain" with the elephants and gorillas. After lunch, we did a little shopping. The kids loved the Lego store:-)

We then said good-bye to Jason and headed home. It was a nice family day! And not a bad trip whatsoever!
