A Month of Gratitude

While I think every month, day for that matter, you should acknowledge what you are thankful for, this month I will try to blog about it:) Try being the key word!

1.  My husband~ He is Amazing!

2.  Starry Skies~ Morning drives are worth it when I see skies like I did this morning

3.  Community~ Great to see people come together to help people!

4. Chaos~ It is my life. But I do love it:)

5.  Us~ Before kids and a crazy life, there was just John and I.  I LOVE our time alone together:)

6. Christ's Body~ Gently reminded today of all the sacrifices that were made for me so that I could live the life I do.  Through the bread and the cup, I am reminded of God's amazing generosity and grace.

7. Children ~ Even though, I may only have six that live with me daily my heart goes out to so many more. I love the chances I get to sub because it gives me the opportunity to love on kids who might not get much at home.  Children are amazing and loving them is usually exactly what they need;)

8. Lazy Nights~ With our sports schedules' over til winter, we've been enjoying quite a few lazy nights as a family. Pizza, movies, books, games, it's all fun to hang out with each other but I think we are all getting a little anxious for the next round of sports' schedules;)

9. Time with family~ Today I got to spend the morning with my cousin, Jason.  I am twelve years his senior but I love our time together.  He's like the little brother I never had.  So glad, he stopped in town on his way to see his brother at Notre Dame.

10. Mercy~ So thankful my mercies are new every morning.  God amazes me daily! Sometimes it's so hard to just let go and let God but today was one of those days...

11, 12, 13. John~ He was a lifesaver to me these three days!!! I ended up getting so sick and he gave up everything to take care of me. I couldn't have lasted the weekend without him! He loves me SO much!!

14. Quiet Days~ The kids were back to school and I still need a day to recover. Today allowed me time to just take it easy with no interruptions

15. Aden ~ He was home sick today and he and I got to spend one one time together being sickies:)  He is a wild child at best but I love his mellow little soul when he's under the weather. He likes to cuddle;)

16. My childhood ~ I had such an amazing childhood and was reminded today when reminiscing just how great it really was!

17 Health~ Slowly starting to feel better, it's been a long week

18. Sub jobs~ Sub jobs that do more for me than the student. Today was one of those days. Today I spent the day with a special needs girl with hearing problems and very had speech to understand.  But we connected with high-fives, smiles and laughs.  We had a great day and it just reminded me yet again. That EVERYONE deserves the opportunity to be treated with respect and loved.  She is an absolutely amazing young girl and I'm glad to have had the opportunity:)

19. Faith~ Without faith, my life would be spending out of control right now.  A broken dryer, a broken car, barely any money in my pocket but my life is not a country song:) It's a life that is such a gift and I am blessed to be living it with an amazing husband and six wonderful kids!!!  Believing in the power of prayer and praying that all our needs will be met.

20. Laundromat~ With a broken dryer, doing laundry at the laundromat today was a lifesaver and better yet all my laundry was done and folded in a little over an hour!!! Not bad being able to do all my loads at once and believe me, it was a lot of laundry!!! Better yet, it's all folded and put away too:)  Now, I will continue to pray we find a dryer or spend my Sunday afternoons wiping it out in little time. Oh the options!!! ;)

21. New Relationships~ Couldn't feel more blessed by the new friendships I as well as my family have  made these last couple years and months. It's amazing just who God has cross your path.  We are SO blessed by those around us!!!  There is a time and place for everything and God has brought some amazing people into our lives and while hard He has also let some go....
