**For the past three years, April 16th has been a day for me to mourn a dear friend that lost her battle with breast cancer. To this day, it saddens me just to think about it. Life seemed so unfair during her battle and I had hope and now she is gone. I pray for her family and her five precious boys that they will remember her kindred spirit, her infectious laugh, and her smile that was bigger than LIFE, itself. She was an amazing friend and holds a very special place in my heart.
**I never in my life thought I would live to see a tragedy not only like 9/11 but what happened on the campus on VA Tech. It has been stirring my soul and I am not even "in it" so to speak. I am originally from VA with family growing up there and I myself growing up around there for two years. My older sibs are even from nearby. I do not remember it at all but the town names resonated in my head yesterday as I kept hearing them on the news.
I just pray for all those families who lost loved ones and who have loved ones who are injured. Through tragedy, we can only grow stronger and learn life lessons.
April 16th was a sad, sad day!
