The Final Stretch...

Hard to believe, but we are beginning the final stretch of the school year tomorrow. Spring Break is officially over and has come to an end with what started as a beautiful week has now ended as a gray, dreary cold, sleet/rain mix and even the "s" word day. Oh well, the kids LOVED being outside all last weekend and the beginning of the week. They played hard with the neighbor kids and burned off a lot of stored energy! Alex enjoyed his second week of WAVE practice while the rest of us had no agenda. That will all change this Saturday.......we offically start our soccer season!! We are looking forward to it since we have had all winter to hybernate and are now ready for some spring-like weather (hopefully) and the chance to be outdoors. The older four boys are all playing with John coaching Alijah and Aden. We will be busy, but when arent' we?!?:-)

As the school year comes to end, we have a lot of different events coming up; especially, Andrew. As a 6th grader, he has many "lasts" to finish out the year. He has his 6th grade breakfast, camping trip, and end of the year awards just to name a few things. The other boys have a few field trips here and there and end of the year projects. As a parent on PTO, I have a few projects to finish up and a few meetings to attend. I have a few more days to finish out my kindergarten volunteering and who knows what else. All n all, it's been a great year:-)

As next school year rolls around ( a bit early, I think. August 15th), it will bring about quite a few changes. Andrew's off to middle school, Aden will be in school ALL day and Ari and Ashton will be headed to pre-school together:-) As for me, I don't know where I will be volunteering or working for that matter. I am anxious to see what comes about this summer but at the same time ENJOY summer break with the kids. It seems like just yesterday, it was last summer. Where does the time go?!?! Enjoy what's left of the "school year" and take a moment to take it all in......It seems life passes us by when we aren't even looking.
