Most of us on Christmas Day (missing some adults:-)
was another wonderful day:-) The kids weren't even the first ones up, I was :-) It seemed "calmer" than in years past. I don't know if it's because the kids are getting older or maybe because we are getting older or what but I felt a lot less STESS than in years past. The kids recieved a few things, opened their stockings, and a yummy breakfast and then waited for other family to arrive. While waiting, they played with Gramma and Grampa and I put the finishing touches on dinner and watched more Christmas movies...LOL!!
Dinner was great! Traditional with all the fixings! Except, I forgot to borrow the neighbor's table/chairs so we were a few seats short but the kids didn't care:-) We topped the afternoon off with more gifts, a surprise for Grampa and then LOTS of game playing.
We played "canes" aka "spoons" and laughed and laughed and laughed. It was a great time! Andrew and Alex actually took a nap and missed out on the fun! Overall, a perfect day! (Except for the braid bread that wouldn't rise and the rolls I forgot to take out of the oven...LOL)
Ari just loved her new shades!
Gramma was vicious during the card playing!!!
