WOW, I must say the last two weeks have been two different sides of the coin, for sure. The first week started out with major chaos: broken down car, a three and half day work week, 23hrs of carnival planning jammed into two days, along with all the prepartation leading up to that 23 hour run. It was CRAZY!!! Then, last week started out slow. I welcomed the change with open arms. I was even able to meet a friend for lunch and passed up a couple sub jobs before I realized, it wasn't slow because all had slowed down, it was slow because I slowed down. I was SICK:( So, with a husband out of town and six kids to keep in line, last week was a little rough at times but not bad. It's amazing what all you do by yourself when you don't really have anyone else to rely on. The kids made it to school, practices, friend's houses and all the while I felt absolutely miserable. I guess you could say life didn't even skip a beat:) Two of the boys did end up getting sick too but they quickly recovered. I even made a roadtrip to get John who was stranded in Indy and it wasn't all that bad. It was nice for us to have actual "chat" time with little interruption and spend time together. We even had a little " early dinner date". It doesn't really matter where we spend our time, as long as we are together. Some of our favorite moments are right in our own backyard;)
I can honestly say yesterday was the very first day, I finally felt like myself again. The difference in weeks has had me thinking a lot in my devotions though about God and how HE is the only one I need to rely on. Yes, I have an AMAZING husband and children and an awesome family but without him my life would be more like that crazy week, spiraling out of control.
So, today I welcomed the new day being thankful for being health and starting my workouts back up. I LOVE my workouts:) They just don't always love me. Ha! I actually felt great and can't wait to do it all over again tomorrow:)
I am looking forward to a "normal" week of track meets, track practices, DARE graduation and lunch/dinner with friends. It should be a great week:) And even better, next week is a week with NO Schedule! You could call that week, PERFECT!!!
