On Tuesday, my kids went back to school. For this mama, it meant getting back to the Winona Lake Greenway. This a place I used to visit quite regularly but had only made it a few times over the summer. I would usually go with a friend and we would rack up mileage while we talked and talked but when I would go alone. It was just me and my time to talk to God. So, as I set out on this morning adventure alone I was keen to wanting to hear God's voice. I had been going through my bible study that morning and I wanted a #SayWhat moment. I know I needed that moment.
I heeded reassurance that this path I was on was where I should be. Ever since this study began, I had been second guessing myself when it came to leading a group. (I reference this in last week's Blog Hop). But there I was, alone on the trail with my thoughts and I run by this...
Hello?! Right there in front of me was Joshua 1:9. "Have I not commanded you be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. You can bet I had a #SayWhat moment. Not only were the words jumping off the pavement at me, they were words to a verse that I had been clinging to for some time now. Long before I was even a part of OBS.
As I kept up my walk/jog I began to pass more sayings...more verses. I began to look for Jeremiah 29:13 but I never did find it. But, I did find this....
Give it ALL to go God. That's all I have to do. "Whatever God says DO, DO it!!!" Plain and simple, right?! Right there before my eyes, God was speaking to me. He drew my eyes to the verses He knew I needed to see. He continued to say, "I've got your back"
I came home that day so excited to share with my Group 47 Gals about my morning. I had heard God. I was pumped.
Yesterday, I sat in on the Melissa Live Party for Group/Team Leaders. I didn't say much but read through comments taking it all in and just kind of lying low when I saw my Team Leader had posted a comment and referenced Phil 3:5-6/ These were the same verses that she had shared with me awhile back when I was processing thru the idea of being a Group Leader. Lots of self-doubt creeped in my head but Stephanie continued to encourage me and pray for me. She believed in me.
As I headed out on my walk today, the very first verse I came across was....You guessed it....
Proverbs 3:5-6
which I dd not see on my walk two days prior.
#SayWhat
I am so thankful that I did #SayYes so that now I can continue to #SayWhat. God has been doing AMAZING things in my life and I just need to take my blinders off and embrace them :)

It is always so awesome when God confirms what you have been studying by other things that you "run" across in your life.
Love this! And how cool that those verses are written on the walking path. What a need way to witness =) Blessings to you, sweet sister!

I love your story, and thank you for sharing the pictures on the walking trail! What a wonderful and simple idea on how to share the love of Christ with others!
Oh, and please know that None of us are equipped to be leaders of these ladies in our groups aside from God living through us. I know for sure that I'm not, but by God's grace I've had the honor for the past year!
