Our weekend began with not much on the agenda but developed into quite an event filled time:-)
Friday, was just another day with chores and paperwork throughout the morning. We ran a few errands and took John some lunch since he was working in Atwood. The boys had never heard of Atwood and couldn't believe there use to be an elementary school there.
The afternoon turned out to be hotter than we expected so we decided to hit the pool about 3pm. Little did I know......we would be out there until 11:00. The boys had some friends over to swim until about 6 or so. I made some burgers on the grill and we sat around the pool well into the evening. Tamara came over to visit and John, Tamara, Craig, and I actually sat outside and had "adult conversation". The kids seemed to have been whipped after dinner and were all relaxing watching some tv. It was kinda nice for the change.
The guys decided to make a "Ritter's run" which perked the kids right up. While John and Craig were away, I got the bright idea to start a fire and I enlisted Tamara's help:-)
Much to their surprise, when John and Craig returned we had a fire burining in our little firepit. I do know one thing now, I could've never made it in the woods alone unless I had my handy candle lighter:-) LOL! The guys were surprised and had even talked of making the fire when they came home.
It ended up being a GREAT evening. All the kids (Ari was in bed) came out and we sat around the fire, ate ice cream, tried to tell ghost stories and telephone, and just enjoyed the night air. It was so much fun.
Earlier in the day, John and I had talked of taking a road trip. I will post about our adventure a little later.......I am tired and have one sick little kiddo.
