We have been so busy, I have not had a chance to post. I don't even know where to begin. School is out (finally) and we ended the year with HUGE pool party that was a HUGE success!! We ended up having around 60 people (kids and adults) and it all went off without a hitch! The kids loved having all their friends here and we enjoyed seeing everyone having fun!
The next day, we just kinda vegged out and then John and I took our oldest two out on a date. It was so nice to have some one on one with them and actually get to sit in a booth @ dinner. We saw Ocean's 13 and I thought it wasn't bad. Heck, seeing George Clooney in a tux is enough for me. He seems to be like a fine wine; better with age:-)
Saturday was Alex's big 9th birthday party. We headed to the theatre to see Surf's Up. It was cute and all the kids had a grand ol' time:-) You can see Alex in the photo with his Tony Hawk cake.
Sunday was Alex's actual birthday. We had my parents, my niece and some friends over to swim and celebrate his big day! It was a good time.
Monday, we welcomed our newest addition. Nope, no new babies to the Wade household but we did welcome our friend (and Andrew's teacher) Mr. Helfrich, UncleCraig, Craig, Helfrich, "hey you" or whatever else the kids seem to blurt out. He's going to be staying with us for a few weeks so it should be an interesting. He ventured out to lunch with us today which is always an experience in itself. The kids, especially Alijah and Aden, will not leave him alone.
Yesterday was spent @ the dentist and the reading tutor. Nothing too exciting. Today we headed to the free movie and out for lunch and home for a dip in the pool. Tonite Alex plays in his tournament game so we are all taking a little rest for now.
All in all, that kinda sums up our kick-off to summer. Lets hope it doesn't fly by!
