Well, New Year's Eve definitley didn't go as planned. We had planned on dinner and a movie with the kids and it turned into all of us going our separate ways for the evening:-( Andrew went to a friends. John decided to ditch me and took four kids and went to a party and I stayed home. Alijah was kind enough to stay behind and "take care of me". I was SO thankful! Selfish or not, I did NOT want to ring in the New Year alone. John was suppose to be home for the ball drop but didn't make it and Alijah and I both fell asleep so it wasn't much of a Happy New Year, I guess you could say. I am happy for the one on one with Alijah but just wish it could've been under different circumstances. I was cranky and very sore. My foot was SO swollen and Alijah basically had to help me with everything. We did order a pizza and get out the party hats. The "toast" would have to wait until the next day seeing as we missed the turn of the New Year.
Above is a picture of Alijah and I waiting for the ball to drop:-) He was asleep first and I made it 15 min until the actual drop......Oops! There's always next year! LOL!
