New Year's Day

Well, the end to our holidays definitely didn't go as planned. I woke up in a TON of pain. My foot just throbbed. I had every intention of having some "goodies" for the Football marathon and ending with our traditional "poor man's meal" but opted to skip the cooking and venture to my parents.

My mom had snacks and sandwiches for us (thank goodness)! Since, my poor children fended for themselves all morning. We just spent the afternoon with them and my Gramma and Grampa Glass. It was SO worth venturing out to see them because I LOVE getting to see them. Gramma had Christmas presents for everyone. She's SO good at remembering everyone! She even brought ham and unfrosted cupcakes (she forgot the frosting at home). She sang bible songs with Ari and Karolina and played with all the other kiddoes. Grampa "watched football" while napping. I laid in the recliner and my mom pampered me. It was SO nice to be taken care of. It doesn't happen very often so I enjoyed it . Everyone proceeded to tell me my foot was broke and so I made a decision to head to the doctor the next day.

The day would've been SO much better if Heidi, my sister, wouldn't have dropped her bombshell. She's decided to leave her husband and kids:-( I am CLUELESS as to her reasoning!!! She just says it is what she needs to do. She has hurt SO many in her selfishness unfortunetly and we just pray she works through her demons. My kids don't get it and neither do I.

SO,that was our New Year's in a nutshell. Kinda sucked I guess depending on how you look at it. But then it was great spending time with family:-)
