What can I say?! I've been waiting with as much anticipation for this movie as my children:) How can you not remember the famous "kick" by Daniel in The Karate Kid. I get goosebumps everytime I watch it! It's a classic!
So, today the kids and I ventured out to a movie. I'm still feeling a bit under the weather and not wanting to do much of anything so two hours to sit sounded just fine to me. I also thought, if it was boring, I could get a little siesta in too;)
Andrew and Alex opted for the "A Team", which they thought was good and the rest of us headed to the Karate Kid. I just wanted to know if it would live up to all it's hype. Not many remakes, if any, are better than the original, in my opinion. While the original will always be my favorite, I must say that by the end of this.....I had the goosebumps! Granted, I found it to start rather slow but then I realized this movie, while mimicking ,the original, was good in it's own right. It had it's own story. It's own Daniel, which was Dre. It's own Miagi, which was Mr. Hann. Jacket on Jacket off....While somethings were similar, some were different.
It's my kids' "Karate Kid". I will always love Danielson and they will always think Dre is cooler than cool.
It was cute...Now, I can't wait for my turn to see ATeam!!!
