Another Beautiful Day:-)

WOW!!! It's gonna be beautiful!!! I think the kids and I may just pack up the van and head out for an adventure. I'm not sure yet. I decided to have my garage sale again tomorrow but I think that I can hold off on organizing that until tonight. All I need to do is straighten up tables and bring up a load of junk that I left (forgot) in the basement last week. You would think, one wouldn't forget the "big stuff" but leave it to me not to remember it until yesterday when I went to the basement for something. I was like, "oh yeah, that was suppose to be in the sale last week". Oops!!!

A lot has transpired in this past week or so. I had a night out with friends to see Mamma Mia. It was good but I was not blown away. I like HAIRSPRAY so much more. I love the Abba songs but I think for me, it was great the first time I saw it because it was fresh and I didn't know what to expect and so seeing the cast break out in Abba tunes made me laugh. This time, I knew what song was coming where and I still just don't know if I was blown away by the cast. I love Pierce Brosnan but I just don't know if he can sing. The poor man looks like he's in pain. I did like the daughter. I thought she was genuine and somewhat innocent like the girl I had seen in the play. It was definitely a girly movie and I'm so glad I left John at home. He would've slept thru it. I do have to go back one more time though. I promised Alex months ago to let him see it and in order for him to stop singing Abba hits, I need to make due on my promise:-)

As for The Dark Knight!!! Now, that's totally at the other end of the spectrum from Mamma Mia. Mamma Mia is like rainbows, birds chirping and girls dancing thru fields. The Dark Knight is more like storm clouds, lightning strikes, and an evil witch hovering near by. It definitely was a great movie but it was VERY dark. Heath Ledger's performance as the JOKER was uncanning. He was so SINISTER!!! It's sad to know there will be no sequel with him as the Joker since he has passed but he definitely did an amazing job. When I first read about the casting for this movie, I thought there was no way he could pull it off but he did. And I must add, there's one thing that made me laugh throughout this movie. For some reason, Bruce Wayne's voice got VERY DEEP whenever he put on the batsuit. I found this to be quite commical for some reason.....I didn't quite get the reasoning for it.

As for family things, Andrew is off at camp. He's been there since Sunday. I'm sure he's having a blast!!! He LOVED it last year! Andrew didn't get the bunkmate he wanted and neither did any of his friends. Unfortunately, we got his "bully" from school. He had four or five buddies going and they were all separated. We didn't expect (or want) them all to be in the same cabin but we thought we would at least get the bunkmate request that we had asked for since they do take one request. Thankfully, a few boys from Andrew's cabin last year are in his cabin and we know he liked them a lot so hopefully, they hit it off.

And the big news of the week was the birth of our little man Cooper!!! He's such a doll. Aden has informed the dentist and the neighbors that his name is Goober. You should see there faces when he tells them. Hilarious!!

Well, I don't know what the weekend may bring. A roadtrip somewhere or maybe just another chance to hangout by the pool. John has been busy so I can't complain. It's nice to just stay home and relax. Before you know it, it will be time for pee wee football, football try-outs for Andrew, soccer try-outs for Alex and school work. I'm so thankful now that we told the boys no about travel soccer. They both got asked to play and we made them turn it down. I don't know where we would've fit it in!!!! Hard to believe school starts three weeks from tomorrow!!! Where does the time go?!?!?!

Well, off to get my kiddos up and head out for the day!!!

Enjoy the Sunshine!!
