Chuck E. Cheese

Well, our adventures yesterday landed us at Chuck E. Cheese. It was a "reward" for Alijah and Aden. They have faithfully attended Reading Camp for the last four weeks with no complaints. They have actually enjoyed it!! They both are such the little social bugs that I think it was more to mingle with friends and teachers than anything:-)

But anyway, the reason for my post. I saw the craziest thing yesterday while @ Chuck E. Cheese. The kids were busy playing games and I was just taking Ari over to start riding rides when I see teenagers staring and even some parents. I could hear them say "tell the kid to get out". Alijah runs over to tell me there is a boy in the basketball game. Now, this to me is a sigh of relief because when I heard the initial "tell the kid to get out" I thought to myself, "where the heck are all my kids? where's Aden?" No sooner was Alijah at my feet, here comes Ashton. "Mom, I want to play the basketball game but there's a boy in there." And what do I say, "honey, pick another game for now until the boys out." Do I try to get this boy out? No, because inside I am laughing hysterically:-) This boys is still in the game; it's probably been 10 minutes. No mother is insight. No employee is insight. I proceed to put Ari on the horse ride and watch this little boy. He's not crying. He's not scared. He's just standing there. And as he is, another little boy starts to shoot hoops over his head. And I hear myself say, "Alijah, put the ball down and wait til the little boy is out." Now, that's just comical to me. But, then an employee shows up and possibly the bigger sister of the boy. I never did see a parent and how the boy actually got in there but he wasn't scared and I don't even think he was scolded. The whole time I just kept thinking, Thank goodness it wasn't Aden:-)
