New Buffalo

This past weekend we headed to New Buffalo, Michigan to celebrate our friends' sons birthday party. It was extra special because it gave Ari a chance to be with her two little Guate pals:-) We first met the Messingers on our very first trip to Guatemala. They were there picking up Evan while we were there to sign our POA and of course, meet Ariana. It's amazing what the internet can do these days....We had first met on a chat group but low and behold we knew when we first saw each other that we already had spoken before:-) Mike and Donna were blessed to bring home Nicholas last year and God-willing, I bet they bring home a princesa in the near future (right, donna?:-) We had a really good time meeting all of Evan's and Nick's family and friends. It felt like being at a Glass get to-gether. There was food out the wazoo and I even asked "Aunt Bessie" to start coming to our functions. She made absolutely the BEST cornbread salad!!! I had never had it before but once I did, I coudn't stop eating it; it was so good:-)

After the party, we headed to Lake Michigan to let the kids swim for a bit. They had a lot of fun!!! Ari was petrified, of course.
