Ashton's Accomplishments

Well, I just had to take a moment and brag about my little man. Tonite, John brought home some bikes for me to sell in our BIG sale tomorrow. He also brought home a bike with training wheels for Ashton to try. Well, the chain was off and we were having trouble getting it back on. Instead of waiting for us to get it fixed, Ashton decides to try out one of the other two-wheeler bikes that were going in the sale. Sure enough, he took OFF!!! He rode all the way around the circle. You know, kinda like when Forrest Gump learns to run and then he runs, and he runs, and he runs. Well, Ashton rode, and he rode and he rode:-) We were just utterly amazed!!!

He really has done some growing up this summer. He LOVES to learn. He's accomplished ALL his letters and knows about 1/2 to 3/4 of his letter sounds. He rattles off birthdates for himself, me and Ari. He knows his phone number and we're still working on his address. He just amazes me daily. And I keep thanking God that I won't have to put him in the reading tutor:-) The older boys are breaking the bank there....

Anyway, just had to gush a minute about my baby boy!!! Hard to believe, he'll be five in just a few short months.......sniff.........sniff
