Have you ever noticed we live in a society where "more" is better? Everyone wants the best of the best.....I don't blame them, I am guilty of this at times, too. But when is enough, enough? Anymore it seems if you don't have this gadget or that gadget or the widget that just came out you are so "not in the zone". It's become very evident to me that whether child or adult, we are all left salivating like a dog wanting more. Why is this? Who set the bar so high? Reality check, people!! I don't know, maybe I am just growing older and realizing there's more to life then gadgets and widgets.....I am thankful I have children who are learning life lessons from this and praying they don't become those adults who buy into all the useless gadgets and needless pleasures. Duh, I know they will succumb to the obvious but I am hoping the life lessons John and I lay out for them will lead them to a life that they will grow to appreciate. They have come to realize we will not react to their beck and call. We are the parents. We set the rules. It's not been as easy as it looks but the lessons learned have been well worth the benefits for our children.
Excuse the soapbox moment but it's the truth....
