I find it kinda funny that I titled this "Ready for the Weekend" seeing as EVERY DAY seems like the weekend since it's SUMMER break. Hard to believe that in four short weeks the kids will be back to the daily grind. My taxi service will be in FULL swing and hopefully, I will be spending my own time at the school subbing:)
This week was pretty uneventful I must say. No real schedules followed by more late nights and even later mornings for kiddoes sleeping in:) Andrew is the only one with a set schedule for summer and he's been doing great at it. He's only missed one pracitce so far and that was due to his tubing fiasco but other than that he's been on the ball. He's getting his summer reading accomplished and has had plenty of time for friends:)
We did venture to the Fair this week. I will have pix to post so I will save that Hillbilly fun for another post:) I have done a little more painiting this week but I am by far the SLOWEST painter on the planet:) I'm in no hurry so I do about one tray and quit. This place will probably be looking nice by the time we move out:) Ha! It's nice to see progress though....
So, now the weekend is upon us and I think we will just do more of the same......NOTHING. I think a trip to the pool will be in order since we haven't made it there yet this week. Maybe today. Maybe tomorrow...maybe even a trip to the Splash Pad if my nieces and nephews are up for it?! Hopefully, sometime this weekend, John will roll into town and we can sneak away for dinner or a walk on the trails. It is SO nice to not have anything set in stone! Our schedule for August, Sept and Oct is already filling up!!! Crazy, I know!!!
Hope everyone else is loving summer as much as we are!
EDIT: John just called and is headed to Arizona! Looks like I'll be postponing our night out...Thank goodness, I have a night scheduled out next week!
